2025 Endorsed Town Candidates

Supervisor/Mayor Mark Jaffe

Town Councilwomen/Trustee Elizabeth Brown

Town Councilwomen/Trustee Elizabeth Brown

For those of you who I have not had the privilege of meeting, I would like to introduce myself. I am Mark Jaffe, and I am running for Mayor of Harrison. As your Mayor, I pledge to fight everyday to deliver services that you, the residents, want and need while keeping these services affordable.

Having been born and raised in Westchester, I attended Dobbs Ferry public schools, graduated SUNY Albany cum laude, and studied both business and public administration before graduating from Cardozo School of Law. Since 1990, together with my wife, Helana, we have raised our family near Quarry Heights in West Harrison.

Much of my life has been dedicated to public service, raising funds for local not-for-profits, and cutting wasteful government spending. After graduating college I started a successful business employing over one hundred people. I then went on to serve as Treasurer of the Manhattan Borough Economic Development Corp. Currently, I serve as the President & CEO of the Greater NY Chamber of Commerce - a membership group that represents over 30,000 business and civic leaders. Moreover, I founded the Chamber Legal Center where I advocate daily for local business across our state and serve as legal counsel to the New York Rx Card.

I’ve developed and promoted successful programs that are defining platforms of my campaign. Higher statewide minimum wage, effective job training programs, sensible gun control legislation, important funding for critical infrastructure, promoting affordable healthcare, equality for all, and responsible economic development have been the cornerstones of my career. I have over 20 years of experience working with local, city, state, and federal officials, and am a proven leader who gets things done.

My experience and background have prepared me to serve and I committed to taking a bi-partisan approach to woking for the betterment of all residents. If you are ready for a leader with common sense ideas who respects the ways our hard earned dollars are spent and is dedicated to improving our public safety, I am your candidate!

Gina Evangelista has been a proud resident of the Town of Harrison for over 45 years and is deeply committed to the well-being and success of her community. The mother of two, she combines a strong sense of family with over three decades of professional experience in the banking industry, bringing both financial expertise and sound judgment to public service.

As a Councilwoman/Trustee, Gina has consistently demonstrated fiscal responsibility and effective leadership. She played a key role in maintaining three consecutive years of budgets under the state tax cap, ensuring financial stability while protecting essential town services. She was instrumental in the acquisition of downtown property to create much-needed parking for local businesses, supported the placement of School Resource Officers in every school to enhance student safety, and advocated for the expansion of Community Service programs to include Veterans Affairs.

Her leadership extends beyond the boardroom and into the heart of the community. She worked with the Red Cross, the CRS, and local leaders to ensure the displaced residents of the Calvert Street fire were housed and connected with services at the county and state levels. She was instrumental in establishing the Member Advisory Committee at Harrison Meadows and works closely with Troon Management to ensure residents’ voices are heard. She also reinvigorated the Harrison Chamber of Commerce to better support local businesses, streamlined the Department of Public Works to increase productivity while reducing costs, and collaborates in a bipartisan manner with county, state, and federal leaders to address housing, security, and budgetary needs. In addition to her public service, Gina has a long history of volunteer involvement in Harrison. She has coached youth softball, soccer, lacrosse and basketball, has served as a member of the Girls High School Lacrosse Booster Club for the 10 years, and has fundraised with her family for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital for more than 15 years.

With deep roots in the community, a proven record of fiscal stewardship, and a strong commitment to residents, families, and local businesses, Gina Evangelista is dedicated to continuing her service to the Town of Harrison.
